Maulana Manzoor Yousuf
Founder, Jamia Ali · President, Fikr-e-Akhirat Welfare Foundation
Maulana Manzoor Yousuf is the founder of Jamia Ali in Karachi and serves as President of the Fikr-e-Akhirat Welfare Foundation. An Islamic scholar, teacher and speaker, he has devoted his life to the service of the Qur'an and Sunnah — teaching their meaning, nurturing character, and building institutions that carry Islamic learning and welfare forward together.
Widely known for his clear and accessible Qur'anic exegesis, he leads regular Tafseer-ul-Quran gatherings across the city to help ordinary people understand the Book of Allah. His sermons and lessons have been compiled into more than ten published books, and his lectures reach a wide audience through the Foundation's platforms.
Early Life & Educational Journey
From an early age, Maulana Manzoor Yousuf was drawn to the study of the Qur'an and the Islamic sciences. He pursued the traditional path of religious scholarship, devoting years to the study of the Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh and the Arabic language and literature under qualified teachers. Alongside acquiring knowledge, he made conveying it his purpose, beginning to teach and address gatherings early in his scholarly life — a calling he has continued without interruption.
Founder of Jamia Ali
Jamia Ali was established to provide sound, structured Islamic education rooted firmly in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Maulana Manzoor Yousuf's vision for the institution reaches beyond instruction: it is a place for Hifz and Nazira of the Qur'an, the study of the Islamic sciences, and the tarbiyah — the moral and spiritual training — of every student. He has worked to build a learning environment where knowledge and character grow together, preparing a new generation grounded in Islamic values and ready to serve their communities. Jamia Ali operates under the supervision of the Fikr-e-Akhirat Welfare Foundation.
President of Fikr-e-Akhirat Welfare Foundation
As President of the Fikr-e-Akhirat Welfare Foundation, Maulana Manzoor Yousuf leads a registered welfare organization working across education, healthcare, social support and humanitarian relief. Under his guidance the Foundation supports students and families in need, assists widows, orphans and the disabled, and develops welfare programmes intended to be sustainable rather than temporary. His aim is a society that stays connected to Islamic teaching while extending compassion and practical help to every human being.
